Pasteis de Bacalhau 60 Grs (Forno)

Let's travel to the Minho region. Given that potatoes were only introduced to Portugal in the 1760s, this delicacy was created in the following years. The first known recipe dates back to 1841, but it was only in the following decades that it was refined into the snack we all know.
These pastries, also known as "bolinhos de bacalhau" in the north of the country, are made with the faithful friend bacalhau, very well shredded, and mashed potato wrapped in a rich sauté and eggs. After frying, this Minho delicacy should be crispy and golden on the outside, creamy on the inside and irresistible on both sides.
